WORKSHOPS
Candlelight Restorative Friday,
September 12 7:00 pm - 8:15
pm Instructor: Kristine Schultz
This class is perfect to bring closure to a
hectic work week. Restorative Yoga consists of a series of
relaxed, supported poses designed to discover and unlock
tension stored in the body. Poses are fewer in number than a
typical class, but held longer, enabling the body to fully
relax and release into each pose. The result is a physical,
mental and energetic restoration. Class includes an
exploration of breath work and its power in the restoration
process. Add a candlelit environment and feel stress melt
away. A light meal or snack before class is recommended.

Gong Bath Sunday, September
28 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm Instructor: Mark
Nelson
The gong is a musical instrument infused with
history, healing properties and symbolic significance. Gongs
were first created in the East almost 6000 years ago. During a
gong "bath", the gong is struck in different areas with a
mallet, creating various vibrations and sound energies that
flow through the nervous system of the listeners, opening,
clearing and rejuvenating the mind and body. The body absorbs
the vibrations it needs, and filters those it does not need.
Many listeners experience relief from pain, and an immediate
calming of the mind.
Our gong musician, Focus Yoga
student Mark Nelson, has attended gong baths and workshops for
several years, experiencing a profound sense of positive
feelings and calm. In addition, he has witnessed the relief
from pain the gong's vibrations have given to family and
friends. With the acquisition of his own two gongs and studies
of several other healing instruments, Mark hopes to share
these experiences and bring positive energy to the earth.
Take this opportunity to let stress melt away, and
begin your week refreshed. Simply lie on your back and enjoy
the unique tones and harmonics created by the gong. It is
truly a remarkable experience.
Fee: $20 on or
before 9/24, $28 after 9/24 Registration
