Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Immersion Studies
Begin October 2011
Our friendly and comfortable studio is located in Brookfield, Illinois, and our yoga students come from Chicago, LaGrange, LaGrange Park, Riverside, Brookfield, Oak Park, and many other near west suburbs in the Chicagoland area. We offer yoga classes that appeal to a variety of student levels and schedules.
Wondering what type of material is covered in our Yoga Teacher Training? What the level and tone of yoga instruction will be? We will be offering several "Yoga Immersion Samplers," where you can enjoy a practice class, and ask questions about our yoga teacher training. There is a fee for these immersion classes, but it will be applied toward your tuition when you register. The next Sampler is Saturday, September 17, 11:00am - 1:00pm

Beginning in October 2011, Focus Yoga will be offering a Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training.
For four years, Focus has been offering serious and respected yoga instruction to students in the near west suburbs. With this training, we offer students an opportunity to deepen their yoga practice and experience, as well as develop the skills necessary to effectively share this experience with others, spreading the benefits of yoga throughout our community.
This training has been recognized and certified by Yoga Alliance, and will offer an intelligent approach to learning. Our experience both as teachers and as students has led us to develop a training that offers a serious and vigorous immersion, with emphasis on the most important skills taught in a way to maximize learning. Unique aspects of this yoga teacher training include:
- A two part training. Some students are not interested in teaching yoga, but are interested in a deeper immersion into the study of yoga. For them, we offer our Yoga Immersion Studies, covering asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy and lifestyle. For those students interested in receiving yoga teaching certification, a separate and additional Yoga Teaching Skills Training is offered in conjunction with the Yoga Immersion Studies one evening per week.
- Anatomy immersed within the training, taught by a physical therapist and certified yoga instructor.
- A Yoga Mentorship that extends one year past the completion of the training; opportunities for guidance and continued interface with yoga teacher training instructors and fellow yoga students as you progress in your teaching career.
- Affordable tuition with limited additional fees
- Discounted class and workshop tuition at Focus Yoga
- Primary instructors are founding instructors of Focus Yoga
- Emphasis given to developing strong yoga teaching skills, from learning to provide clear and concise instruction, building confidence through guided practice and knowledge, and attention given to discussion of issues confronting yoga instructors.
